SPENCER, Jean E. Roy, 92, of 18 Early St., died Saturday, March 2 at his home after being stricken ill. He leaves his wife 59 years, Claire D. (Houle) Roy, 4 sons; John M. Roy and his wife Susan of Spencer, Robert F. Roy of Upton, Paul E. Roy and his wife Lee Ann of Northboro, Richard J. Roy of Spencer, 2 daughters; Suzanne M.R. Sriberg and her husband David of Hopkinton, Ann Marie R. Croteau and her husband Stephan of Spencer, 9 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Born in Warden, Canada, he was the son of Paul & Marguerite (Dion) Roy. Mr. Roy was a carpenter for most of his life and worked at J.S. Prunier & Sons in Worcester before retiring in 1982. He was a member of the carpenters and laborers unions. He was also a member of Our Lady the Rosary Church in Spencer. The Funeral will be held Saturday, March 9 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer, with a Mass at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern MA, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
